The Belgian Formula 1 Grand Prix
The Belgian Grand Prix of Formula 1 is held every year at Spa-Francorchamps, in summer. It is one of the oldest and most respected races on the calendar, with a demanding layout that weaves through the Ardennes forest. The race weekend draws tens of thousands of spectators from across Europe. The dates shift from year to year: please check the official F1 calendar before booking your stay.
The 24 Hours of Spa
The 24 Hours of Spa is a historic endurance race held every summer at the circuit. It brings together GT3 cars from major manufacturers and is one of the key dates on the European endurance calendar. The atmosphere stretches over several days: practice, qualifying, the overnight race and the final parade. The campsite fills up quickly for this weekend, particularly with crews who appreciate a quiet base between sessions.
Trackdays and other events
Outside the big races, the circuit hosts open trackdays for sports cars and motorbikes, as well as historic events such as the Spa Six Hours and Spa-Classic meetings, which bring together historic and collector vehicles. Several national and continental championship weekends complete the year. Staying at the campsite makes it easy to alternate days at the track with time at the river.
Where to stay for the F1 weekend
During the Formula 1 weekend, accommodation across the region fills up very early. We recommend booking 6 to 8 months in advance, especially for motorhome pitches. The campsite sits away from main roads, which makes the evening return easier and keeps nights quiet, well away from paddock noise.
