A connection that keeps up, even deep in the valley
The campsite is connected to the internet via Starlink satellite, which gives high-speed, low-latency internet where conventional networks stop. Wi-Fi is free for all campers. Video calls, large file transfers, corporate VPNs and evening streaming all work normally. As with any satellite link, speed can vary with the weather and the number of people online at the same time: for an important presentation, tell us when booking and we will recommend the best-covered pitch.
Silence as a work tool
The campsite sits on the Lienne river, in a wooded valley with no through road. You hear the water, the birds, occasionally a lawnmower. No entertainment programme, no disco, no loudspeakers: this is a family campsite of 48 pitches, open since 1973, where quiet hours run from 22:00 to 08:00. On weekdays and outside July and August you will often have the river to yourself. Mornings from April to June and in September are ideal for deep work.
Where to set up your laptop
To work indoors, the Lune, Forêt and Rivière chalets and the mobile homes have a proper table, a fitted kitchen, a bathroom and a terrace: see the accommodation. The rental caravans, more compact, suit a solo worker. On camping pitches, an electric socket powers your laptop and screen, and your terrace or awning becomes your desk. In season, the campsite bar offers a shaded table and a coffee.
The breaks that make the difference
An hour’s walk on the trails leaving from the campsite, a kayak descent of the Amblève from Coo, a session at Bob’s Gym 10 minutes away, or an evening at the Spa thermal baths. At the weekend, the Remouchamps caves, the Ninglinspo and Monde Sauvage are under 25 minutes away. You work better on Monday.
