About the campsite
Are Camping La Lienne and Camping Chalet Weekend the same campsite?
Yes, it is the same campsite. Camping Chalet Weekend is the historic name and the site is gradually renaming to Camping La Lienne. Same team, same address, welcoming guests on the same spot since 1973.
How long has the campsite been open?
The campsite has welcomed guests since 1973, in Rahier, along the Lienne river. It has been family-run from the start.
How many pitches does the campsite have?
The site has 50 pitches in total, split between chalets, a mobile home, a rental caravan, camping pitches and long-term annual pitches.
Booking and rates
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellation terms depend on the type of accommodation and how far ahead of your arrival you cancel. Full details are set out on our Terms and conditions page.
Is a security deposit required?
A security deposit may be required for rental accommodations (chalets, mobile home, rental caravan). The amount and exact terms are confirmed at the time of booking.
Arrival and departure
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Rental accommodations: check-in from 15:00, check-out by 11:00. Camping pitches: check-in from 14:00, check-out by 12:00.
What if I arrive late?
Please call us in advance on +32 479 83 49 48 if you expect to arrive in the evening so we can arrange a smooth check-in.
Accommodations and pitches
What types of accommodation do you offer?
Three chalet variants (family, comfort, panoramic), one mobile home, one rental caravan, camping pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes, and annual pitches for long-term stays. See the Accommodation page for details.
What is provided on camping pitches?
Each pitch has an electrical hook-up and water access nearby. Guests can use free hot showers, Wi-Fi, a small cafeteria and a sauna on site.
What is an annual pitch?
An annual pitch is rented by the year, allowing you to install your own caravan, mobile home or mobile chalet and leave it on site year-round. A practical base for frequent stays in the Ardennes.
House rules
Are pets allowed?
Yes, pets are welcome for a small fee that depends on the type of accommodation. They must be kept on a leash in all common areas.
Are there quiet hours?
Yes, quiet hours are from 22:00 to 08:00 for the comfort of all guests. The vehicle access barriers are also closed during those hours.
Can I light a campfire?
Open fires are not allowed on pitches. Barbecues are fine in the designated areas, following the safety guidelines posted at reception.
Can minors stay without an adult?
No, minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult for the entire stay. We do not accept unaccompanied groups of minors.
What to do nearby
What is there to do around the campsite?
Kayaking on the Lienne and Amblève, hiking on GR trails, Plopsa Coo theme park, the thermal baths of Spa, the Spa-Francorchamps circuit, Stavelot abbey and the December 44 museum in La Gleize are all reachable from the campsite.
How far is the Coo waterfall?
The Coo waterfall and the Plopsa Coo theme park are about 10 km from the campsite, roughly 15 minutes by car.
How far is Spa-Francorchamps?
The Spa-Francorchamps circuit and the spa town of Spa are about 20 km from the campsite, roughly 25 minutes by car.
How to get here
How do I come by car?
From the E25 motorway (Liège–Luxembourg), take the Werbomont or Stavelot exit depending on the direction of travel, then follow signs towards Stoumont-Rahier. On-site parking is available.
Can I come by train?
The nearest station is Trois-Ponts on SNCB line 42. The campsite is about 8 km from the station; plan for a taxi or a pre-arranged pickup.
